There is a blogger, The Nester, who started a yearly tradition of blogging everyday in October on a certain subject. I want to try this (again), but I am not setting boundaries on the subject matter this time. I just want to focus on getting more familiar/comfortable with blogging and finding my “voice” a little more when writing. So sometimes the subject matter might flow and more often than not, it might seem like a jumble hot-mess. Whatever it is, I just want to write something (hopefully) everyday in October.
I love going back and reading old blog entries and always wish I would have written more often. I am not a scrapbooker or a good journal-keeper. Heck, I still haven’t made Ashton’s baby book (oops). But something about blogging intrigues me to keep track of memories, musings, life, food, etc. for myself, my family and whoever else wants to read. I love reading other people’s blogs and I hope to provide some enjoyment for others when I write.
Sooooooo, here we go! Happy October!
~It’s October 1st, and I couldn’t be happier about it! I ADORE the autumn- the weather, the pumpkin flavored everything, the anticipation of the holiday season, the colors, and on and on and on.
Today was the most perfect October 1st I could ask for. I went for a great walk with Ashton in the crisp weather this morning… after he slept in until 8am!!!! Woohoo!!! I needed a good night of sleep, and I definitely got it last night. I woke up at 7:55am just before the little guy. That is my favorite way to wake up… having a few minutes of quiet time to myself before he gets up. This afternoon I got to run errands, etc. by myself for a few hours, and then tonight my hubby and I went out to dinner at our favorite little Italian restaurant in town.
I am going to go to bed with a full belly and heart. ❤
***Back When I Was 11 Weeks Pregnant (my effort to get pregnancy updates caught up… getting closer)
I am 11 weeks along (holy cow, how is it possible that I am almost 3 months pregnant and almost through the first trimester???). I think the time seems to fly because I am so busy with a one year old. The first time around, all I had to think about was the pregnancy. Now I am raising a human and growing one inside at the same time. Whew! That makes me want to take a nap just writing it out! 😉
Good news – The nausea seems to be easing up! It still shows up a little in the evenings and some mornings, but it doesn’t seem to be as severe anymore. Three cheers!
My belly is definitely poking out, and it seems like my stomach and insides are getting pushed up. My stomach seems to stick out higher and rounder. It’s not huge, but looks like I over indulged in a bunch of desserts. 🙂
I’m still eating a ton of fruit, but in the mornings I am eating cold greek yogurt. Cold stuff seems to sit the best. I’ve had a couple of tomato sandwiches that hit the spot as well. More vegan and vegetarian things are appealing than before I was pregnant. I was vegan for a little over three years, but for the last couple years I have not eaten solely vegetarian. Now more and more vegetarian and vegan items have been taking over my diet again.
Oh, and half-caff coffee. I can’t give up my coffee. Every now and then I’ll have a sip or two of regular, but I am typically just having two cups of half-caff. Ho-Hum.
